A date that is significant worldwide, is coming three years early with the November 13, 2009 release of the film, “2012”.

Television audiences were given a two-minute sneak peek at the new Sony movie directed by Roland Emmerich (“Independence Day”, and “The Day After Tomorrow”) on October 1st with a trailer on CBS, NBC, ABC, and other cable, local TV, and Spanish-language networks.

Many Scientists and Archaeologists suggest the reasons for the Mayan calendar ending on the date of December 21, 2012 could be the end of time as we know it and the rebirth of new technology and way of life, others predict a catastrophic chain of events caused by an asteroid that destroys all life on planet Earth which is the scenario this film chooses to portray.
