GSN’s original dating show hosted by Jerry Springer called “Baggage” is currently casting singles for a slew of new episodes.

According to the “craigslist.org” casting-call ad, it states as examples of “baggage in the dating world” as being the following: “I live with my crazy grandma”, “I have a fetish”, “I will never get on a plane”, “I’m best friends with my X”, etc.

SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT!

Our reporters at HOLLYWOOD JUNKET have sat-in on several of the new episodes shot for the show’s return which begin airing Monday, August 16th at 6:30 pm/5:30 c , and we can attest that most of the type of “baggage” the show has revealed by daters is not as mild as stated in the casting ad posted online.

Some real-life show examples of “small baggage” which is the first secret a prospective date-tee must reveal to the dater consisted of the following- stolen womens’ panties; let’s Mother pick their dates; and one contestant’s small baggage revealed that his penis curves to the left.

More horrifying baggage upsets come from the medium-sized baggage: a contestant slept with a woman and her mother; another one revealed that he might be a father; keeps foreskin in a safe; and another contestant’s stripper name is “Warrior”.

But, the doozy of information is released by opening these date-tee’s “large baggage”. We got shock reveals from contestants which seemed more like appropriate confessionals: Went to Russia three times to find a wife; had a vasectomy; hosts swinger parties at their house; and one requires his girlfriends to have threesomes!

The daters on this show are the ones who are choosing their date. But they are not innocent either. They reveal their own large “Baggage” in the show’s last round. One such reveal was that a dater had been engaged seven times.

However, not all of the “baggage is so bad. Some of the more innocent-like secrets revealed in contestants suit cases are: wears sunglasses at night; hasn’t had sex in thirteen years; has nine credit cards, and is into kissing.

If you think you’ve got the appropriate “baggage” to be on this dating show, visit the “craigslist” post here to apply: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/tlg/1899548514.html

CARTOON NETWORK officially announced that it will be reprising the previous FOX venture “Hole in the Wall” and airing it on its station.

Casting is currently underway for the show. Visit them at: www.holeinthewallcasting.com The show will be scouting prospective contestants in Southern California at an open casting call to be held at “Raging Waters” water park and “Lucky Strike” blowing alley in Hollywood. Specific dates and times will be posted here on our site when they are announced.

CARTOON NETWORK’s “Hole in the Wall” will not be just for parents and kids. The show will also be seeking camp counselors with their campers, athletic teams and their coaches, grandparents with grandchildren, as well as gymnasts and their trainers. The overall theme is adult mentors with children.

Video Interviews of audience members who watched filming of FOX’s version of HOLE IN THE WALL:

A current casting posted on “craigslist” state that the casting department is also looking for “overweight yet flexible players” who must be able to “contort” their bodies to “fit through small spaces”. It may sound impossible, but previous episodes had overweight contestant who miraculously in fact did make it through the small holes. Contestant teams are said to get $600 if they make it to the show. This makes us wonder if this version will have contestants compete for a grand monetary prize or not. Sounds like they won’t. More on the topic to come.

The much hyped, but non-successful Americanized version of a YouTube hit, Japanese game show, “Hole in the Wall” will make its return as a family show.

Casting is currently underway for a leading kids network (which is being finalized soon), as we got the word straight from the show’s casting department. Fremantle Media North America (Let’s Make a Deal, American Idol, The Price is Right) is currently casting families for the show. Casting stated that “kids and adults will compete”, and they are looking into holding open calls somewhere in a park, family friendly type of atmosphere. Possibly at a theme park or a water park. Specific locations are being locked-down.

So far, one show format that is the same is the amount of members in a team. The show will have teams of consisting of three people where one must be an adult (18 or older) and one must be a child (12-17 yrs). They can be family members, athletic teams, teachers, coaches, etc. according to casting requirements.

More details to come as we get them.

Here is a flyer below that we received from Fremantle Media:

Casting notices state that they’d like to find people who want to “pay tribute to a popular section of music video, TV, film, stage or commercial”. Preferably, anyone who’d like to show off their best “Thriller” Michael Jackson dance or “Bye Bye Bye” ‘N Sync dance. Why not throw in Britney Spears and Madonna in there as well. You get the concept. The casting website states that you’ll have to send in a “homemade dance video”. It sounds like they may be integrating those into the show.

The show will take five groups, put them with choreographers to perfect their dance. Then the groups will be judged in front of a live studio audience who will decide with their votes which group will take home the grand prize of $10,000.

Not to worry, you don’t have to be a professional dancer to audition. The show is looking for ALL levels. Auditions are held weekly in Studio City, CA from Tuesday through Thursday. Contact their office at: (818) 508-7706 ext. 256, 254, 253, or 257. Or, fill-out the online application at: www.getupanddance.us.com

In a press release today, NBC announced that it will be returning it’s singing competition hit, “The Sing-Off” to the network by renewing it for another run. Open casting calls for the show will begin in the middle of May.

NBC’s a capella group challenge show “The Sing-Off” has been renewed and starts casting in May!

Hosted by former 98 Degrees boy band member, Nick Lachey, the show originally aired for four-nights back in December. The best a capella groups from around the country compete for a chance to win a Sony Music Contract and $100,000. Groups are challenged to perform popular songs with a spin in a style never heard before. Home viewers vote for their favorite group night-after-night as one group gets voted-off at the end of each episode until the most popular one remains. The winning group last season, Nota, walked with an exclusive recording agreement with Sony Music US Latin along with the $100,000. Nota is currently developing their new album for Sony.

Singers and musician judges, Nicole Scherzinger (“The Pussycat Dolls”), Shawn Stockman (“Boyz II Men”), and Ben Folds (“Ben Folds Five”) it was announced will be returning to critique the talent.

Requirements to audition are a capella groups must be made up of 4 to 12 members, any male to female ratio, and all members must be 18 years and older. If you’re interested in applying, there’s less than one month to prepare, so you had better form your group (if you don’t have one yet) and start rehearsing now! Last season, a group wrangled itself on the fly within a couple of weeks of the auditions and made it to the stage. They didn’t accelerate far in the competition, so I wouldn’t recommend it.

Open casting calls will be held on these dates and at the following locations: “Kimmel Center at NYU” in New York, NY on Saturday, May 22nd; “SIR-Nashville” in Nashville, TN, on Saturday, May 29th; “Superior Street” in Chicago, IL on Monday, May 31st; and “Center Staging” in Los, Angeles, CA on Saturday, June 5th.

ALL open call lines start at 8am. For more information, go to: www.SINGOFFCASTING.COM, or call 877-701-SING [7464]
