During our shoot of our Primetime Emmys coverage promo, we ran into a familiar face outside the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles, John Stewart. This John Stewart is well-known around town on game show sets as a stage manager. He also happens to be the father of TWILIGHT SAGA star, Kristen Stewart who plays Bella.

He took a brief break away from his production duties at the Emmys to chat with us. Although he resisted to being filmed on-camera. He gave he reasons as being “too much on the internet” as it is. An unwanted perk that he got after his daughter’s launch into starlet stardom. Stewart commented on how his house has become a common ground for non-stop paparazzi and how he had to block all of the windows to his Hollywood Hills home with opaque material just to attempt to keep some level of privacy.

Stewart’s credits include: Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me, Fear Factor, The Jamie Kennedy Experiment, Weakest Link, Super Greed, Family Feud, Candid Camera. Other credits not listed on his IMDB page are, “Funny Money”, and “Lopez Tonight” show

NBC has picked up a sixth season of its hit summer series “America’s GotTalent” from FremantleMedia and Simon Cowell’s SYCO Television.

Celebrity Judges Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel will return to the hit series along with host Nick Cannon.

“‘AGT’ continues to be a ratings sensation and has hit it out of the ballpark creatively this season,” said Paul Telegdy, Executive VP of Alternative Programming and Production, NBC and Universal Media Studios. “We have a dream team of celebrity judges — Sharon Osbourne, Howie Mandel and Piers Morgan — and coupled with our versatile host Nick Cannon, we’re looking forward to an even bigger summer next year.”

This is the fifth consecutive year that “AGT” has ranked as the #1 summer series in total viewers. Season-to-date, the show has averaged a 3.4 rating, 10 share in adults 18-49 and 11.8 million viewers overall on Tuesdays and a 3.3/10 in 18-49 and 11.8 million viewers on Wednesdays.

In its fifth season, “America’s Got Talent,” airs Tuesdays (9-11 p.m. ET) and Wednesdays (9-10 p.m. ET). Nick Cannon hosts and Sharon Osbourne, Howie Mandel and Piers Morgan star as the celebrity panel of judges. The series is a true celebration of the American spirit, featuring a colorful array of hopeful stars, including singers, dancers, comedians, contortionists, impressionists, jugglers, magicians and ventriloquists, all vying for their chance to strut and perform on stage hoping to win America’s hearts – and the $1 million prize.

The two-night fifth season finale will air Tuesday, September 14 (9-10 p.m. ET) and Wednesday, September 15 (8-10 p.m. ET).

NFL athletes to play in the “Minute to Win It” 60-second circle include New Orleans Saints Pierre Thomas and Robert Meachem and Minnesota Vikings Anthony Herrera, Visanthe Shiancoe and Bernard Barrien.

Thomas and Shiancoe will team up together to win money for their charities. Bernard Barrien will play with cheerleader Amber Wright from the San Francisco 49ers cheerleading squad “Gold Rush”. Meachem and Herrera team up to play challenging “Minute to Win It” stunts. ‘

With the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina upon us, “Minute to Win It” is doing their part by featuring contestants who are attempting to raise money for the New Orleans area in this episode. Charities directly related are: Boys & Girls Club of Greater New Orleans, New Orleans and National Kidney Foundation, United Way for Greater New Orleans Area. Other charities include, Indian Nations Football Conference and The Childrens’ Hospital, Inc.

Some of the most memorable past contestants are placed into one house where they have to share one room in a sea of bunk-beds barracks style. The contestants consist of eleven women to eight men. The pot of gold at the end of this tumultuous journey, $250,000! Most claim to be in it for the money and consider falling in-love as an added bonus. For a few, such as Gia (“The Bachelor” Jake) who comes onto the show already taken by a boyfriend at home is strictly there to focus on obtaining the quarter of a million dollar winnings. However, only into week two of the show, “The Bachelorette”s (Jillian Harris) Wes Hayden has already got his hooks into her! Straying away from what her and her team had decided to sway due to emotions caused by Hayden.

The scantly dressed men and women, the plot-inducing drama, the strategic game plays, the back-stabbing house mates all continue to unfold as week three takes effect tonight on ABC at 8pm /7pm c.

This year’s competition will be hosted by “Celebrity Apprentice” winner and multi-platinum singer/musician Bret Michaels and Today show national correspondent Natalie Morales. HOLLYWOOD JUNKET host, Marisa Petroro interviewed Michaels after his recent performance at “America’s Got Talent”.

Michaels explained that Donald Trump, who took ownership of The Miss Universe pageant in 1996, said “him (Trump) asking me to do the Miss Universe pageant is really him having a lot of belief and really taking a risk because there’s normally, it’s not rockers like me that hosts these kind of shows.” Michaels also states that he will be excited and “be very real about the comments that I make about what’s going on.”

Trump, who crowned Michaels as the winner of “Celebrity Apprentice” executived produced by Mark Burnett and Trump after Micheals’ return to the show’s live finale after surviving a brain hemorrhage. Michaels said this year’s Miss Universe is sure to be “exciting and awesome!”. Not sure what to think of Michaels as a host yet? He’s not either. Watch it tomorrow night and decide!

Miss Universe airs live Monday, August 23rd at 9pm ET/6pm PT on NBC. Tickets are still available to see the show in-person. According to ticketmaster, the best available seats can be purchased for $373 which will place you in the front right of the stage.

HOLLYWOOD JUNKET reporter was on the set during this episode’s filming. Episode title “Last Beauty Standing” has the ten beauties competing against each other for the one million prize for their favorite charities. Ten stunts are played with the one contestant who completes all stunts is the one who is left at the end to play for the million dollars. Each contestant finishing each stunt in last place is eliminated.

The first game challenge given to the ladies is “Hanky Panky” where they must use only one hand to empty tissues completely from a tissue box. Other challenges include: “Face the Cookie” where the girls have to move cookies from their forehead to their mouth without using their hands, and lastly, the million dollar stunt is “Super Coin” which requires the last contestant standing to bounce and land one quarter coin off of a table and into a 5-gallon water jug while standing fifteen feet away from it.

The former beauty queens came from New York, Panama, Japan, Puerto Rico, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Watch Monday’s “Minute to Win It” episode Monday night at 8/7 c on NBC.

Shepherd resides in New York. This may be the main reason why GSN has decided to move production of the show’s fourth season of “The Newlywed Game” back to New York where it fist came back with Carnie Wilson as the host. Season two and three were both shot in Los Angeles.

How well will she do compared to previous host, Wilson? That will be yet to be seen. Both women, Shepherd age 43, and Wilson age 42, have extreme opposite life experiences which may be a good thing. Wilson is married with two young children. Shepherd has recently divorced with one child and has publicly announced that she will be celibate until she marries again. Shepherd’s sitcom, “Sherri” is based on her own true-life divorce experience after discovering her husband’s infidelities. This might be just the fuel that “The Newlywed Game” needs to turn it into a mega-hit for the network. I have never thought Wilson as the best host for the show, often thinking that there’s just something missing.

Shepherd is known for her controversial statements made on “The View” over religion and evolution. This may parlay over into “The Newlywed Game” where there will be many opportunities for her to be vocal on a whole other scale of topics.

I will be waiting to see if Shepherd will be able to top Wilson’s many edited-out vulgarities. Such as an incident when during filming last season, Wilson out-lashed on one of the husbands who was verbally abusive to his wife on the show. Wilson exclaimed that if she was his wife, she wouldn’t suck his d@!$ for a year! Yes, she really said it.

Our reporters at HOLLYWOOD JUNKET have sat-in on several of the new episodes shot for the show’s return which begin airing Monday, August 16th at 6:30 pm/5:30 c , and we can attest that most of the type of “baggage” the show has revealed by daters is not as mild as stated in the casting ad posted online.

Some real-life show examples of “small baggage” which is the first secret a prospective date-tee must reveal to the dater consisted of the following- stolen womens’ panties; let’s Mother pick their dates; and one contestant’s small baggage revealed that his penis curves to the left.

More horrifying baggage upsets come from the medium-sized baggage: a contestant slept with a woman and her mother; another one revealed that he might be a father; keeps foreskin in a safe; and another contestant’s stripper name is “Warrior”.

But, the doozy of information is released by opening these date-tee’s “large baggage”. We got shock reveals from contestants which seemed more like appropriate confessionals: Went to Russia three times to find a wife; had a vasectomy; hosts swinger parties at their house; and one requires his girlfriends to have threesomes!

The daters on this show are the ones who are choosing their date. But they are not innocent either. They reveal their own large “Baggage” in the show’s last round. One such reveal was that a dater had been engaged seven times.

However, not all of the “baggage is so bad. Some of the more innocent-like secrets revealed in contestants suit cases are: wears sunglasses at night; hasn’t had sex in thirteen years; has nine credit cards, and is into kissing.

BRAVO officially announced the new reality series will be premiering Monday, September 6th at 10 pm ET/PT. Unlike other weight-loss shows who send their weight-loss candidates to a boot camp in a controlled environment, this one keeps dieters on their toes by Warner, of “Workout” fame whose job is to bombard them with surprise visits while dieters are caught in real-life situations at home, work or while in social situations.

The series is shot in Los Angeles with all locals. Included in the exercise regimes outside of the gym setting are “intense workouts at amazing locations”. Some locations as seen in the preview video on the BRAVO website are what appears to be the beaches of Malibu, and Dodger Stadium.

Each dieter will learn how to coupe with keeping eating habits consistent during the stresses of life. Group therapy with Doctor Ramaney is included in the show along with progress tracking through weekly weigh-ins.

Warner’s eight clients include a cocktail loving “life advisor”, a stand-up comedian, an independent film producer who hides food from his boyfriend, a cancer survivor, a boutique event business owner, and an ex-“Housewife” and former Playmate center fold.
