A new family game show titled “Generation Gap” hosted by Arsenio Hall, filmed pilot episodes today at Saticoy Studios in Van Nuys, Ca, it was reported, for TBS.
Based on a game show from 1969, the game consisted of contestants who some were related and some were not. The “older generation” (a group of three in their 30s) vs. the “younger generation” (also a group of three in their late teens to 20s) on a show that featured a celebrity player and famous performers. Each group was tested on how much they knew about each others generation.
Our source stated that the game show tests families’ trivia knowledge by decades. One particular family consisted of a grandmother, father, mother and daughter. If someone in the family gets a trivia question correct of a decade of not their own, they earn higher points. In this particular case, a grandmother got a trivia question from the millennium correct which earned her more points.
According to our source, the top prize a family can win is $25,000. It was reported that the amount to be won on the game show would be $50,000. We will add updates on the show as we get them.
