GSN announced the premiere new original reality series for spring 2013 called “Family Trade” about a real-life competition of a modern-day barter system.
State-of the-art G-Stone Motors, GMC and Ford dealership in Middelbury, Vermont, founder Gardner Stone will trade clients beautiful new cars and trucks for anything they’ve got. Even if customers have obscure and more challenges thing like- pigs, a hot air balloon, coffins, maple syrup, dolls, a shoe collection Stone is will take them on. Their saying is “we’ll take anything in trade.”
Stone’s son Todd and daughter Darcy, who work with him in the business, usually have very different ideas about what makes a good trade, and they have the unenviable task of re-selling whatever their father has bought. Each 30-minute episode will feature the outrageous, hilarious, hotly contested barter stories at G-Stone Motors—with a simmering stew of family drama cooking alongside. “Family Trade” is produced by Eli Frankel’s Rogue Atlas Productions in association with Lionsgate, with Frankel as Executive Producer.
“Family Trade” debuts on Tuesday, March 5th with two original half-hour episodes back-to-back at 8:00pm and 8:30pm ET/PT; and THE AMERICAN BIBLE CHALLENGE, a studio-based game in which contestants compete based on their knowledge of the Bible, returns for a 2nd season on Thursday, March 21st at 8:00pm ET/PT.
