Season 3 of NBC’s “The Sing Off” just keeps throwing us curve balls. This weekend, we learned that a new rule has been added! Other new changes made this season include: expanding the groups to 16 instead of eight, replacing Nicole Scherzinger with Sara Bareilles, and eliminating all but one live show – the finale one.

This new rule has the bottom two groups on elimination night fighting to stay on the show by battling each other in a sing-off. The groups each sing a song hoping to perform it better than their competitor. At the end of the song, the judges deliberate to decide who will continue and who will exit the stage with a “swan song”.
