It’s already down to six players on week five of “Claim to Fame.”  Those players are: Danny, Adam, Hud, Shane, Dedrick, and the only female still in the house, MacKenzie.  The house was feeling the aftershock from the night before’s events that had Naomi exiting the house after Adam took a correct shot at her celebrity at the Guess-Off

The morning after Adam correctly guessed Naomi’s celebrity relative as Molly Ringwald, housemate and contestant Danny said Adam did some “snakely strategizing with Hud” when he didn’t go for Dedrick. 

The direct aftermath of the Guess-Off was that Adam called Hud out immediately, crediting him for giving him Naomi’s celebrity after Naomi was eliminated. 

Danny taunted Adam with a piece of Dedrick clue, calling him “a stupid little man.” Of course Adam took offense to the name calling.  Danny took offense to Adam calling him a liar.  Adam said he doesn’t trust Danny because he would not show him Dedrick’s physical clue.

Snake in the Grass!

Hud was trying to do damage control from the night before when Adam outed him as not being trustworthy because he didn’t have Naomi’s back when she clearly had his, upholding their alliance. 

The goal of the day for everyone was to get Adam’s clue after the challenge in order to finally get Adam out of the house!  Hud said after what Adam did to him at the Guess Off, he’s a “snake in the grass” now.  Danny and Hud discussed sabotaging Adam during the upcoming challenge and were anticipating they’d be in teams of three.  Shane got Dedrick and MacKenzie to also commit to sabotaging Adam.  Dedrick agreed to the plan, but was secretively suspicious of those in charge of the plan.  Basically, the whole house. 

Adam Drops His Own Clue:

Adam was still torn if it was Randy Jackson or Michael Jackson that Dedrick is related to, and could only see Randy’s clues on the Clue Wall.  During his conversation with MacKenzie, Adam did drop a clue on himself when he told her that his celebrity babysat for Paula Abdul!

“My celebrity relative babysat for Paula Abdul.” – Adam.  What the other players didn’t know was that Hud was still upholding his alliance he had made with Adam (and Naomi) from the beginning, and made his own strategy with Adam!

THE CHALLENGE:

“Wheel of Senses”

The game wheel, which was a huge film reel turntable, was equipped with eight stations that tested the players senses of smell, taste, hearing and touch.  The two clues were connected, AND they “could” include clues to their celebrity relatives.  

The players had ninety seconds to lock in answers before the turntable turned. The team with the most correct answers wins.  The team of two that wins, got to pick one Winner’s Clue together.  There was no immunity this week. The team to score the lowest was automatically in the bottom two and up to be the Guesser.

The players were randomly paired based on what color ball they drew out of a bag.  Hud and Adam ended up pairing; Dedrick and Shane; and Danny and MacKenzie.

Adam is so out of touch. He guessed napalm as one of the smell clues then thinks it’s connected to the “Good Morning Vietnam” movie with Robin Williams.  In fact, it’s the “Apocalypse Now” movie which has the famous line “I love the smell of napalm in the morning.”  Hud’s reaction, “brother they’re not making napalm and bringing it on TV!”

THE RESULTS:

The bottom two were Shane and Dedrick.  Danny and MacKenzie got eight correct.  But, so did Adam and Hud.  The tiebreaker came down to who had the fastest time.  It was Adama and Hud!  The rest of the players knew that Hud was not on board with sabotaging Adam. 

That also meant that Adam and Hud would be picking a Winner’s Clue from the wine cellar.   MacKenzie was worried about Shane having her clue and asked him point blank if he knew who her celebrity was.  He said he had an idea, but needed to solidify the name.  Shane promised not to share her clue unless he had to.

The house had split into separate groups, realizing that Shane and Dedrick were “too tight,” MacKenze, Adam and Hud were working together within their tight knit group. 
 
Shane Pulls a Fast One!

Shane went and told Hud and Adam that if he goes up to be the Guesser, he’s going to target MacKenzie because he “100%” knows who her relative is.  Shane actually didn’t know her clue, but said he did because he knew that none of the players wanted MacKenzie to go home.

He used reverse psychology on them in order to have them vote for Dedrick as the Guesser.  Shane was pushing Adam and Hud to pick Danny’s clue.  Then Adam actually wanted them to pull his own.  Back to plan A!

THE WINNER’S CLUE:

Once inside the wine cellar, Adam had a change of heart and plotted for some revenge against Danny who called him “stupid” earlier and was on his back about not playing the game!  Adam said, “I’m going to show him how to play the game” and went for Danny’s clue!  This clue was Jennifer Lopez (JLo) related.

After speculating what Danny’s clue meant, Adam told Shane that he did pick his own clue.  Making things tougher for Hud to navigate their game play.  Hud handed the clue over to MacKenzie hoping she would know more about J.Lo than the men in the house.  

She recruited the help of Dedrick and the name of the singer who was married to J.Lo was on the tips of their tongues.  But, of all people, the one player who knew nothing before…Adam!  Adam solved the clue.  Marc Anthony!

PLOT TWIST UP AHEAD:

The Guess-Off!

Soooo, MacKenzie thinks that Danny had no clue that Adam and Hud pulled his clue.  However, once Dedrick was voted as the Guesser, he changed the plan and didn’t pick Danny as his target.  Instead, he took a stab at Adam.

Dedrick’s reasoning was that he thought that the other players were not truthful in telling him Danny’s clue.  He thought that they set up a trap for him.  When Dedrick called Adam as his target, Danny broke into laughter.  This tells us that Danny knew that Dedrick was supposed to choose him.

Adam was shook!  He said “we’re going down!”  One of them indeed was.  Dedrick guessed Owen Wilson for Adam.  Yeah, that wasn’t it because the screen dissolved.  Then Dedrick’s celebrity relative was revealed as Michael Jackson, the “King of Pop.”  Dedrick’s real name is Sigmund Jackson.  His dad is Jackie Jackson. 

Adam lived to survive another week, and so, the fight goes on to get Adam out of the house!
