For the first time in Bachelorette history, they went to Victoria, Australia in their second week!  This is where the drama started between Aaron and Devin, who Aron keeps calling him Dylan.

Jenn had her first date as the Bachelorette, and in Australia with eight of the men – Aaron, Grant, Jeremy, Jonathon, Devin, Sam N., Brian.

THE FIRST GROUP DATE:

During the group date, Devin pulled Jenn away to go get ice cream just the two of them.  This didn’t sit well with the rest of the men, especially Aaron.  This put a huge target on Devin’s back for the rest of the show.

Next, the group date continued where they attended the International Comedy Fest where they also had to participate in it as their first challenge.  The men had to write their own comedy routine and perform it in front of the audience.

Jonathon was having thoughts that Jenn could be the woman of his dreams.

Back at the hotel:  Marcus got the first one-on-one date card which read “let’s fall in love.” – Love Jenn.

Back to the group date: Aaron, who was wearing a pearl necklace, confronted Devin and told him that Jenn doesn’t want a boy like him.  Araon called Devin “delusional.”  

In his confessional, Aaron said he didn’t want to get into drama. However, every chance he got, he kept antagonizing Devin and continued the feud.

Devin proceeded to interrupt Aaron’s one-on-one time with Jenn when he rolled-up to them with a bowl of ice cream!  Heated, Aaron left.

This Continued On…

After a bunch of back-and-forth of interrupting each other with Jenn, Jenn flat out asked Devin if he was getting along with the men in the house.  He said he was, and that he didn’t mean to make the moment about him and Aaron, but about her.

Aaron was still upset and told the other men that he felt he was “targeted.”  None of this got the men the group date rose as they had hoped.  Because Jenn gave it to Grant.

THE FIRST ONE-ON-ONE DATE:

Jenn’s date with Marcus started off on an adrenaline rush while skydiving, then parlayed into a fancy evening dinner.  Jenn said selecting him for her first one-on-one date was an easy pick because he makes her feel at ease.

Marcus explained that “a lot of work” went into him becoming the man he is now.  He was an Army Ranger and part of his job was to go on raids at night and pick up bad guys around the world.”

During his last deployment in Afghanistan, he got seriously injured after a grenade was tossed into the room he was in.  Marcus said that the grenade going off on him changed his life. Because of that, Marcus went through a ton of surgeries and had to learn how to walk again.

He said he wanted to live a life that’s “worth saving” and be as full of love as humanly possible. Marcus then got emotional.  Jenn said she wouldn’t have thought because he seemed so strong, then gave Marcus the date rose.

THE SECOND GROUP DATE:

The men joined Jenn in the middle of a wildlife Australian photo shoot.  The men had to get dressed up in traditional Australian hunter outfits to be part of the photos with Jenn. 

Wildlife handlers brought in exotic animals for them to pose with.   These animals included an owl, lemurs, Iguana.  AND…oh yes, a very large spider!!  Exactly what Hakeem was not hoping for.

He’s got a strong case of arachnophobia but managed to face his fear while letting the spider crawl up his arm and shoulders.

The final bit of the photo shoot included a large snake which Dylan bravely stepped-up for this task to protect Jenn.  Dylan is a very big guy himself, so him handling that snake for Jenn was perfect.  It also won him this challenge!

Dylan’s prize was some one-on-one time with Jenn.  The other men had the After Party to look forward to, or so they thought!

During their alone time at dinner, Dylan talked to Jenn about feeling insecure after being in the house with all the other men.  Jenn gave Dylan the Group Date rose.

Unfinished Business:

Back at the hotel:  Aaron felt there was “unfinished business” with Devin.  Aron told Devin about how his arrogance affects the whole house. 

When Aaron called Devin “Dylan” for a second time, he said he doesn’t even know his name.  He really couldn’t take him seriously. 

In fact, Aaron spent more time obsessing over Devin than trying to get to know Jenn.  Aron threw Devin another hint that he needs to grow up by giving him the book “Principles of Self Growth.”  

Devin had no intentions on reading the book and said he doesn’t need his stupid book.

THE COCKTAIL PARTY:

Immediately after Jenn’s toast, Devin was the first to steal Jenn away.  The men were so upset because Devin had just promised to respect their time with Jenn.  And he didn’t keep his word.

Devin warned Jenn about “Chaos starting.”  Then,  Thomas N. went to literally grab Devin away from Jenn and argued with him very loudly within an earshot of Jenn hearing it all.

Jenn pointed out to Thomas that the decision on who talks to her first, she also has some control over, and the men are trying to take that decision away from her.   

She was left sitting alone for ten minutes while they argued. She asked him if it was worth it? Definitely a waste to time

Thomas instantly regretted fighting with Devin.  Sam M. talked to Jenn next, and picked up where they left off on night one with the making out session. 

The feud between Thomas and Devin continued outside, then carried over inside.  The bickering continued until host Jesse Palmer announced the Rose Ceremony coming up.

It was starting to seem like we weren’t going to get a Rose Ceremony tonight because of the heavy drama.  But, the show managed to fit it in amazingly enough in the last six minutes of the show!

THE ROSE CEREMONY:

Jenn said she knows that her ferocious love is there and that’s what drives her decisions tonight.

Roses went to:  Austin, Hakeem, Spencer, Jeremy, Jonathon, John, Tomas A., Sam M., Devin, Sam N., Aaron, and finally Thomas N.

Men who already had roses: Dylan, Marcus

Thomas N. was angry that Devin also got a rose.
