Five Seconds Can Change Your Life! New Twist on THE FLOOR Season 2 Premiere Recap
September 26, 2024Is Travis Kelce Smart Enough For ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A CELEBRITY? Recap-Review
October 15, 2024In this episode of The Floor, we got Taylor Swift, we got Time Boost…and a bunch of unexpected pauses!!
Last week on “The Floor” the last contestant of the night, Angie, had a tough decision to make. Should she stay at the podium and challenge another expert in their category, or return to the floor!? Only in its second episode this season, no one had yet challenged another contestant after a successful Duel. Well, Angie finally broke that pattern!
First of all, Angie has Based on a True Story category, which she revealed she very much wants to keep. Angie had to win two more Duels in order to win the newly added bonus of 5 second extra seconds. Which, by-the-way, contestants can choose when to use this bonus.
Winning the Time Boost Bonus!
When host Rob Lowe asked Angie what she was going to do. Angie answered, “what’s something that someone didn’t do in the first episode?” The answer was that no one challenged anyone. And she’s right. So, Angie went back up to the podium to challenge a competitor. She challenged Jim who had the Acronyms category and she won!
One more duel, and Angie would be earning the Time Boost. She chose another nephew type to bring to the podium. It was 26-year-old Izzy who was an expert in Baked Goods. She beat him too, and got the Time Boost. With that, she said she’d like to keep her Based on a True Story category and returned to the floor.
Next, the Randomizer chose Cyrene who went against the Pizza Topping category played by Landis. Landis won his category of Pizza Toppings and returned to the floor. Mena, who was an Accessories expert, chose Monica whose expertise is the Taylor Swift Songs category.
What’s interesting is that while she was trying to pick a challenger, Mena revealed which categories she didn’t know! Mena won with a perfect game, missing none, overtaking the Swiftie expert and returning to the floor to keep her own category of Accessories.
Forgetting Who’s Turn It IS…
Keelan, owner of Periodic Tables category, challenged Sage with Professions category. He won, and went back to the floor! The Randomizer chose Julie Ann (Disco expert). She chose the sitcoms category and what a wacky game! It was the first time that contestants didn’t realize who’s turn it was! Lol.
The other contestants on the floor watched on in disbelief and aggravation at the same time! Some were shouting to their co-contestants that it was their turn! But that also raises the important question, can the host not nudge the players (like on other game shows) that it’s their turn?
Julie Ann was game for another duel and challenged Ryan who had a big chunk of floor from last week. He also inherited Cleaning as his category. Whomever won, would potentially win the $20,000 for the night. Ryan proved to know very little about cleaning products, and lost out to Julie Ann. She returned to The Floor. And because the Randomizer didn’t choose anyone in her area, that meant no more challengers for the night for her, making her the $20,000 of this episode.
The last Duel of the night belonged to Neal and he challenged Holiday Movies. Eric was an expert in Holiday Movies because after being a child actor in “The Santa Claus,” it became his life. He currently works behind the camera.
A Topic Up For Debate:
So, Neal was the final winner of the night after killing it in the Holiday movies category. Another thing, that onlookers in the studio gasped at and most likely at home viewers as well, was when the film “Die Hard” came up on the screen. Many people argue it’s a Christmas movie, it’s not a Christmas movie.
NEXT WEEK: Only 84 players remain, and one contestant reveals something that Rob Lowe says “maybe I wouldn’t have revealed that now!”
