“Destination X” opens its second episode with a hint from host Jeffery Dean Morgan’s narration that the contestants riding the “Destination X” bus are “somewhere North of Rome.”  AND….“a place that prides itself on peace.” – Jeffery Dean Morgan

This week on “Destination X” viewers quickly get thrown into a budding showmance brewing between Ally and Shayne.  Kim states that coupling on a show changes the way they play the game.   While Shayne is proposing to have an alliance with Biggy.  Did he take the bait?  Biggy said that Shayne “seems like a trustworthy dude.” 

Making Alliances:

Biggy gave-in to the much needed alliance due to those moments to get the knowledge that he “missed.”  The group was still reeling over Josh’s unexpected exit while Rick was trying to rebuild trust after Josh threw him under the bus on his way out.

None of the players were on board to align with Rick.  The next stop on the bus exposed the contestants to a very chilly climate.  The group of players arrived amid snowy mountain ranges.  This made Rachel think they were in Germany because she swore she identified the Matterhorn.  Jonah thought it was the Alps.

Challenge in the Snow:

They were given a bunch of photo clues that tipped them off to where they were.  They had to identify the correct name of the images in the photos and match those up to cases holding tools that helped them start a fire.  If they got them correct, they would get the proper tools to start the fire.  If they got them wrong, the tools to light a fire would be bare minimum. 

Some of the clues were:  Victor Frankenstein,  Timothee Chalamet, German Shepherd, Saint Bernard, Box of Chocolates…and so on.  Some of these clues lead them dead on, some of them lead them astray.

These clues were good indicators to what country they’re in. The players had to match up the clue to the country they are in. The team that managed to light their fire first, got the clue to the next Destination X.  Rick’s team actually took the win, thanks to Rick.  He redeemed himself by managing to be the one to start the fire.  The people on his team with him were Ally and Rachel.

Helicopter Drop!

Major Clue Shown…

The winning team got a ride up in the rescue helicopter that flew by the Swiss flag, thus confirming that they are indeed in Switzerland.  But, would they tell the others?? They decided not to, until Rick decided to tell the guys later in private in his effort to use it as an aligning tactic.  However, Ally aligned with Tai and shared the clue exclusively with her.

Where the bus dropped the whole group of players off next was a vision out of a Swiss Miss package making it evident that they are in Switzerland.  Jeffery left them a note that they would be going inside of a cabin for the next challenge in small groups or singles.  This game would determine who would go into the map room later. 

Second Challenge:

Ring My Bell!

After going into this cabin where Jeffery met each player, that player got to nominate two others to go into the map room to be up for elimination.  The first person to go into the map room, Shayne,  got to put five people up for elimination.  Every player after that, got the opportunity to switch two of them out for other ones IF they could get the order of bells ringing in the same order that Jeffery rang them. 

Mack was the only one to notice that there were clues painted on each bell.  But, she still didn’t figure out the exact city they were in!  Rachel told-off on herself while in the map room with Biggy and Mack by stating that she didn’t want to put Ally up because she has a “pretty good idea.” Then Biggy also said that Shayne would also have a good idea (of where they are), indicating that someone shared the clue with him. 

This set Rachel off into a tizzy as soon as she rejoined the rest of the group outside.  She suspected that it was Rick who was the one to reveal the clue from the helicopter ride.  At this point, it was irrelevant because of the physical landscape they were in, they all knew they were in Switzerland!

Rick and Kim went into the map room after that and Rick put Rachel’s name up for the map room.  Kim put Jonah up and told him that he was the “weakest player.”  Rick also told Rachel that he put her up.  She was peeved! 

Two Against One!

Back on the bus, Shayne and Ally teamed-up to lead Jonah astray.  They both told him they’re in the city of Bern.  In her confessional, Ally said she intentionally threw Jonah off because she needed to do well in the map room. 

SPOILERS:

Both Ally and Tai picked up the framed clues from photos of Jennifer Aniston, and Eva Longoria.  Their first names together gave them “Geneva.”  Rachel, Mack and Jonah thought they were near the city of Bern and that’s where they placed their “X’s.”  Jonah’s X was the furthest and he was the one sent home.
