Building Bridges and Telling Secrets on DEAL OR NO DEAL ISLAND Season 2 Finale Part 1 Recap
March 18, 2025Life-Changing Power on DEAL OR NO DEAL ISLAND Season 2, Episode 10 Recap
Last week, Lete warned David that she’d “take-out” Dickson if he put her up against the Banker. She won her game, and stayed true to her word. After Dickson proved to be the weaker link in his second alliance between Lete, Phillip and CK, Lete sent him home.
Soon after Dickson left, the Banker dropped some big news! That was that in the next Temple, two players instead of one would be going home. Bringing the total down to the Final 3 for the finale episode.
At the opening of episode ten, the Final 5 – David, Parvati, Phillip, CK, and Lete had some nice words to say about Dickson around the dinner table. Parvati suggested to David that they go talk alone to plan Dickson’s memorial. Lete called the duo (Parvati and David) the master, liars, manipulators.
While David and Parvati were boasting about how the other three had not caught on to them BOTH being from “Survivor,” Lete and Phillip had CK swear that she was with them in their alliance. They now had more people than “the family,” who have been whittled down to two members. That only lasted for so long!
In her confessional interview, CK said she’s still playing both sides (like Switzerland) and wants to be on whatever side “wins that war.” Before the Excursion this week, David was now without his “number one” alley (Dickson). Phillip was vocal about not wanting Parvati to win since she’s already won $1 million from “Survivor.” David, who’s also from “Australian Survivor,” played along and convinced Phillip that he wanted to form an alliance with him, and bring Phillip to the Final three with him. Well, as viewers later saw in this episode, that wasn’t true.
After making a deal with Phillip to get each other to the next round, David said in his confessional interview that he’s playing for himself, and he’s playing for his family, “whatever it takes.” In the meantime, CK was making alliances with everyone!
THE EXCURSION:
Feel the Heat!

This week’s challenge exposed the players to what they value more, power or money. They also showed each other who has the most strength, stamena, and who’s in it to win it!
The Excursion called for the players to hold up a quarter of their weight in bags of money suspended by a rope above flames in fire pits. The contestant to hold their bag of money up the longest gets to keep their $75,000 inside the bag. The second portion of the game gave one player power!
While the players are holding up their weighted bags of money, Joe and the Banker’s Assistants present them with a stream of briefcases holding various amounts of money. The one to claim the highest value case by dropping their bag of money into the flames gets total Safety and “unprecedented” power at the Temple. If two players claim the same case, they split the value of that case.
The players with the two lowest value cases are at risk of facing the Banker and of going home. It’s a double elimination, the winner of the Excursion will have to choose one in the bottom to go home before the “Deal or No Deal” game.
Another Twist!

Lete said a mouthful when she said in this game “you have to value power,” and “If you’re choosing the money over the power, then you’re okay going home.” One twist that the players weren’t told about before the Excursion, once a player dropped their bag, they got to add that weight onto another contestant’s weight!!
Lete was the first to drop her bag (by accident) for the $2.50 million case. She added her weight to David’s. When the $3 million came up, both CK and Parvati dropped at the same time. But, NOT on purpose though! Thus, they ended-up splitting that case, which means they got $1.5 million each. That put Lete in the lead. Lol!
Only David and Phillip Remain!
After the flub-up with CK and Parvati, they each had to give their weights to someone else. CK gave hers to David. Philip got Parvati’s weight. At this point, David was dying…literally! While Phillip was acting like holding the weight up was nothing.
This was the point when David got inside Phillip’s head by offering the $75,000 by dropping his weight first, and allowing Phillip to hold-on long enough to get him to the end-point securing that $75,000. Phillip agreed, and when the next highest case came up of $2.75 million, David took it, securing him Safety and Power.
This is the second week in a row where Lete got screwed by someone in her alliance. Had Phillip dropped his weight at the same time as David, both himself and David would have been in the bottom. Thus, keeping Lete with the power and in a position to eliminate David!
But, that’s not how things went down. The fact is that David would determine who would be eliminated and who would play the Banker. The bottom three were CK, Parvati, and Phillip. Lete and Phillip planned to have Phillip play and send Parvati or CK home if he won the Banker. Although Lete was not in the bottom, she was still at risk of getting sent home by the winner of “Deal or No Deal.”
Who’s Next?

Lete feared that she was going to get sent home by whomever played the Banker and won. During a private chat amongst the three — David, Parvati and CK, they discussed eliminating Lete if either Parvati or CK played the Banker and won. Then, CK told her other alliance, Lete, that she would take-out Parvati, not Lete.
David still had tough decisions to make, whom would he eliminate immediately, and who was he putting up to face the Banker. When David asked Phillip who he would send home should he play the Banker and win, Phillip’s answer was Parvati. That wasn’t the answer that David was looking for.
Then David did something really clever, he got inside Phillip’s head by asking him if he was him, what would he do? Phillip basically said he would send Parvati home. At this moment, Phillip’s fate was sealed. Both David and Parvati didn’t fully trust CK if she played the Banker because it put Parvati at risk of getting sent home.
David had to do some major strategizing, realizing that his power at Temple would literally set him up for the rest of the game.
DEAL OR NO DEAL:
Before starting the “Deal or No Deal” game at Temple, host Joe Manganiello asked the group about their game play. He asked Parvati if she was afraid that someone was going to take her out tonight? “Yes,” she answered, realizing she’s a threat to everyone there and said she wants to play the Banker.
This Makes Sense!
David said he was 100% focused on his family. Ironically, Joe asked Phillip if he trusted his game in David’s hands. Phillip answered that he does. Then, a bomb dropped. Because the player David sent home was Phillip.
David was full of crap when he stated that his decision “doesn’t make sense” and “hopes it makes sense at some point” before telling Phillip he’s sending him home. It makes perfect sense to David because 1) he couldn’t risk Parvati being sent home by Phillip, and 2) Phillip was not bothered by those heavy weights during the Excursion which means…..PHILLIP IS A THREAT to his game, period.
Phillip was very salty about it, of course. He gave a nice speech and gave David a soft hug and pat before leaving the Temple.
To Be Continued….
NEXT WEEK: Prediction of who’s playing the Banker?? Most likely, it’s Parvati!
