Never Been Done on CELEBRITY FAMILY FEUD Season 10 Chrissy Teigen, John Legend Game Recap!

Multi-threat singer, songwriter, producer and actor John Legend was there to play the “Celebrity Family Feud” game, but as a guest of his famous wife, Chrissy Tiegen.  Along with her husband John, Chrissy also brought her besties to play against her co-star David Chang from “Chrissy and Dave Dine Out.”

Apparently, it was quite the visit to the “Celebrity Family Feud” the last time Chrissy was on because she was super grateful to be back.  Chrissy thanked the host Steve Harvey for having them back after “last time. I know it was rough.” Steve responded “no one knows what you’re talking about!”

Husband John Legend is famously an “EGOT”, owner of awards – Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and a Tony.  He hoped to add a Celebrity Family Feud win to his trophies.  Chrissy truly brought her entourage which included her hair stylist Jen Atkin with her husband, along with wardrobe stylist, Alana Van Deraa.

Throwing a wee bit of shade, or more like concern, Chrissy exclaimed that she was in for a tough game going against the opposing side that was made up of “Harvard Grads.”  She was right!

David brought very educated professionals who excel in their white collar careers.  They were – Mina Kimes who is a sports journalist at ESPN, pro golfer Michelle Wie West; Pablo Torre, a sports writer and TV host.  Along with Chef and author Chris Ying, he also co-hosts “Dinner Time Live.”

It turned out to be a tough game and no clear winner when it ended with a tie!  The first question of the game got plenty of laughs when John Legend answered “alone time” for “name something that a man might say is an upside to being in jail.”  It was on the board as “no family/wife.”

Other laughable answers to that question were “meeting new friends,” and “outside time.”  Lol!  One of the questions catered to the culinary side of the stage, that was “what kitchen gadget would you compare your love making to.”  Because Chrissy’s side had no clue.

But, then David’s side also had a tough time with this one.  They only got one which was “hot oven.”  After they got three strikes, it got tossed to Chrissy who was sure her answer “slow cooker” would be on the board. It wasn’t!

THOUGH BEING A CELEBRITY!

One question perfectly illustrates what Steve Harvey often complains about during filming of “Celebrity Family Feud” which is how “out of touch” celebrities are. The question asked of 100 men, “if you woke up a single man, what’s the first thing you’d buy?” had survey answers that were too beyond basic for these wealthy players to comprehend!

They only got one correct, which was “car.”  Chrissy gave what seemed like a good answer when she said a new home.  Even John agreed that when you separate, you had to get a new house.  Steve Harvey said he’s been divorced before and can vouch for that!

But it too was not one of the answers.  No one got any of them.  What the survey revealed the answers were simply: condoms, beer, 80-inch TV!

TIE-BREAKER:

The two teams tied at 141 points each and had to play Sudden Death.  David Chang won it and gave us one heck of an entertaining Fast Money Round.  His answers were too thoughtful which ended up almost costing him the grand prize money.

Thankfully the second player,  Pablo saved the day by giving us a real answer for “the greatest breakfast food,” not burrito (which is what David said).  Everyone knows it’s bacon, right?  Well, he also had another number one answer which took David’s seemingly impossible to revive game from 54 points to the needed 200 for the win.

As soon as David earned a measly 54 score, Harvey  broke the bad news to Pablo, stating, “It’s going to take a massive effort” and David got 54 points.  Pablo stayed optimistic.

MAKING HISTORY!

Harvey broke it down “on regular Family Feud, I’ve seen people make this comeback.  This will be the first on “Celebrity Family Feud.”  Harvey told Pablo that he can make history as the highest second contestant ever in the history of Celebrity Family Feud.

Pablo’s second number one answer “penn” for the coin to throw into a fountain to make a wish,” earned the team the 65 points needed, for a 228 ending score.  Harvey said “that’s never been done!’

Their foundation “Southern Smoke Foundation” is the charity that will be getting their $25,000 win!

A GOLDEN GAME!

Ten of the women for the first “Golden Bachelor” played, five against five.  Susan headed on one side that included Leslie, Sandra, Kathy, and Ellen.  The opposite side called themselves “Fantasy Sweets,” making a pun of the Bachelor Fantasy Suites.  This side was led by current “The Golden Bachelorette” Joan who included Natascha, Edith, Faith, and Nancy.

At the top of their show, Harvey put boasted to the Golden players that he’s older than any of them. That’s when Sandra chimed-in to tell him that’s she’s older than him.  Harvey wasn’t about to ask her, her age.  Sandra gladly told him that she’s 76 years old.  Harvey replied that she’s “fine!”

The most unexpected answer was given by Nancy when during a head-to-head with Sandra, she answered “penis” to the poll question “something that women lie about.”  It was up there, as “their man.”

Because it was the third answer, Sandra was also allowed to answer.  Unfortunately, she didn’t hear the question and asked Harvey to repeat it.  The rules of the game wouldn’t allow it and he told her to say anything.  She said “water.”  So, it was the Fantasy Sweets side that played.

The Fantasy Sweets won the game.  They chose Natascha and Edith to play Fast Money.  It came down to the wire when Edith had a lot of dud answers and luckily was barely able to squeeze in a winning answer for the last question of a “name a famous duck.”

She answered “Donald” after the buzzer.  But, the show gave it to her anyway.  And, it won them the grand total of $25,000 for their charity after getting to 242 points!
