The contestants of “Deal or No Deal Island” season 2 had been struggling big time at obtaining a seven figure final case amount for the finale show. That changed when competitor Dickson played the Banker and ended up having $5 million in his briefcase! It’s the highest case amount that anyone has ever banked on the show thus far. What wasn’t historical was how Dickson back-stabbed Dr. Will by promising to eliminate CK after winning his game. Instead, he eliminated Storm.

Naturally, Dr. Will was extremely upset. But, Dickson hardly noticed due to the fact that he was still on an adrenaline high. Positive praises from the group didn’t hurt either. His ‘Deal Island “dad” and “mom,” David and Pavarti cheered him on as well. Maria Grace, who’s a part of this odd “family” was hurt by Dickson’s betrayal of someone she thought was a friend, and her new love interest.

No one saw that elimination coming. Dr. Will called Dickson’s misrepresentation a “power move.” Seychell and Lete were scheming to make it a goal to get one of the member’s in the family in the bottom in this week’s Excursion. This one was a challenge involving heights!

THE EXCURSION:

Host Joe Manganiello hinted that this Excursion was to be one of heights, and had the players pair up in teams of two. Dr. Will was the odd man out, along with Dickson whom no one wanted to pair with either one of them. So, they paired together. It was Dr. Will’s intention to throw the challenge.

Each pair had to secure their cases in secret. That meant, one duo would go into the jungle at a time to secure their cases. The eight briefcases per side carrying various money amounts were stacked upon each other up 80 feet in the jungle.

The pairs were hoisted into the air on hammocks. They were competing against each other and NOT with each other. It was a test of honesty and alliances. Because the players each saw only their own case values on their side. When they see a case that they want to claim, they lock it in by pulling the rope. By effect, their partner also locks in whatever case they’re at and falls to the forest floor. Whoever of the two secures the higher case, gets Safety.

Whichever player has the smallest amount is up for elimination and to play the Banker. Lete and La Shell were the first team to do this Excursion. Lete’s strategy was to be honest with La Shell. The highest case in their tower happened to be on Lete’s side. La Shell made the argument to let her pull her side with $2 million in order to not be up for elimination. However, Lete kept going up to HER highest of $3 million.

Seychelle and CK were next. It was CK who felt she could not NOT have immunity. CK agreed to let Seychelle get the highest amount case that happened to be on her side. CK ended up being at risk for elimination, and Dr. Will was still gunning for her big time!

“The family” members David and Maria-Grace paired up to get a case. David had the higher case of $2 million. Every team was honest with their case amounts except for Parvati and Phillip. They were both shocked that they lied to each other. Dickson and Dr. Will were next.

Dickson is afraid of heights, and after going up only one level, Dickson was ready to pull his lever to drop. It was Dr. Will’s plan to get the lower amount out of the brief cases in order to petition himself to play against the Banker. The only part of Dr. Will’s plan that did NOT work was dumping Dickson to the ground below them. Instead, they both dropped! Lol.

“Wildly Untrustworthy!”

Dickson couldn’t understand why Dr. Will referred to him as a “weasel” earlier after their Excursion. Dr. Will told Dickson that he is “wildly untrustworthy” though Dickson didn’t think so! Apparently, Dickson didn’t think it was a big deal that he lied to Dr Will’s face about getting rid of CK last week, eliminating Storm instead. On the flip side, this week Dr. Will made an alliance with CK and Seychelle to eliminate Maria-Grace if he won his game with the Banker. Thus, getting rid of a “family”member.

DEAL OR NO DEAL:

Dr. Will purposely had no rhyme or reason to the opening of the cases other than he chose to go in order. From 1, 2, 3, 4, and so on. With a bombshell move, Dr. Will acted like he took the Banker’s opening offer of $72,000. The group of onlooker players were steamed and vocal about it until Dr. Will revealed the rules of the game! His decision wasn’t official until the host asked him, “deal or no deal?” It was officially a “no deal” from Dr. Will as he moved on in the game opening cases five and six next

After that round had the highest case amount of $3 million opened, Dr. Will ended up taking the next deal of $168,000. For real this time!

This was the first “Deal or No Deal” game where after the contestant made a “good deal” no one celebrated in excitement. Instead, there was silence. Dr. Will told CK that she’s the one that should be going home since she was so vocal about her distain for him.  But, instead he eliminated Maria-Grace.  She was shocked and in disbelief.   Parvati immediately had her suspicions that Dr. Will would do that, confirmed.

It’s War!

At the end of the show, David said he’s coming after Dr. Will now. And, Dr. Will has his new sights set on “breaking that creepy Muppet family up.”
