Wake-up early and get the scoop on what’s different about this year’s Academy Awards telecast!

Host of ABC reality show “The Bachelor” Chris Harrison will be hosting this year’s webcast of the 83rd Academy Awards “Road to the Oscars” with Dave Karger, who is the senior writer at Entertainment Weekly.

The webcast will begin at 5:30am PT on Tuesday, January 25, and stream live courtesy of Livestream.com. Viewers will be able to watch the live stream right here on Hollywood Junket as well as at Oscars.com.

Before actress Mo’Nique (Supporting Actress winner last year) and Academy President Tom Sherak make the nominations announcement at 5:38am on ABC (check your local listings), Harrison and Karger will discuss the upcoming Oscar ceremony as well as movie trends from 2010 and how those trends may or may not reflect in the nominations.

Following the live nominations announcement, Harrison and Karger will return to discuss interesting facts about this year’s nominees as well as Academy movie trivia. They will also have the special treat of revealing new information about this year’s Oscar telecast!

“Road to the Oscars” consists of a 10-episode series available for viewing at Oscar.com, official website of the Academy Awards and on mobile devices. The series will go in-depth about the 10 movies nominated for Best Picture this year.
