The Game’s Going to Change on THE BACHELORETTE Recap & Sneak-Peek!

ABC’s “The Bachelorette” is only in week 2 and it’s already getting pretty messy with the two Bachelorette’s Gabby Windey and  Rachel Recchia.  Week two’s episode started with the morning after night one where the Rose Ceremony traditionally takes place.  However, Gabby and Rachel called it off due to having to split their time with the 32 men (now 29).  This led to them not being able to talk to enough of the men to know who to send home.

In this week’s teaser, it appears that during the Rose Ceremony, things are going to take a turn in the show.  The reason why this is being predicted is that the men are shown choosing either Gabby or Rachel upon the women handing out the roses.  Some men are shown not wanting to accept a rose from Rachel.  In another clip, Jacob is seen making a rude comment to Gabby that he wouldn’t be there if it was just her as “The Bachelorette.”   I’m predicting that the group of men are going to be forced to split off into two groups and become Team Rachel, and Team Gabby.

Last week Rachel already said that she doesn’t feel worthy of being “The Bachelorette,” and doesn’t want to be “The Bachelorette.” This could lead to more upsets in future episodes where she may want to leave the show. (I’m predicting).

THE PAGEANT:

Some R-Rated Content Got Shielded!

This leads to the next activity thrown at the men.  Rachel and Gabby decided to have the men go through a pageant where the two women could quickly get a sense of who the men were and what they’re about.  This also gave Gabby and Rachel the perfect opportunity to see the men’s abs during the speedo portion of the pageant. .

Host Jesse Palmer was there to assist and told the men that whoever showed the “most skin”, the most heart, and creativity would be the winner of the pageant.  The prize was getting an exclusive invite to spend the rest of the evening with Gabby and Rachel at an After Party.  As part of the swimsuit competition, the men had to show both “forward and backwards” as Palmer described.   To keep the show as PG-13 as possible, the men’s fronts were prominently blocked out with black bars!

Some of the men went the extra mile to stand-out.  James embraced his Italian heritage fully by pouring spaghetti sauce all over his body.  Logan did the worm dance.  Some questions asked of the men included how many serious relationships they’ve had, and what their beauty routines are.  The winners of this pageant were:  Aven, Logan, Brandan, Jason, Johnny, and Colin

THE AFTER PARTY:

Gabby Gave-Up a Guy for Rachel!

During her conversations with the men at the After Party, Rachel was noticing that a lot of them were making “small talk” with her and was getting disheartened by it.  Then, along came Logan!  The only problem is that Logan stated that he didn’t know which woman he likes better.  Thus, he made a strong connection with both Rachel and Gabby that led to makeout sessions!

When Gabby and Rachel took a time-out to catch-up with each other during the After Party, Rachel confided that she kissed Logan and had a strong connection.  In Gabby’s confessional video, she said her heart dropped when Rachel told her that.  So, Gabby didn’t tell Rachel that she felt the same way about Logan, and let Rachel give Logan her date rose.  Gabby gave her rose to Johnny.

In the meantime, back at the mansion, the men got the next date card.  The name on the date card was Jordan V. which read “love is in the air,” from Rachel.

RACHEL & JORDAN V. DATE:

Chris Gets Called-Out Big Time!

The first part of their date was experiencing zero gravity inside an airplane.  In the meantime, back at the mansion, Chris was already talking about Fantasy Suites and he was sure that he would be one of the last four men left.  The other guys thought it was way too soon to be thinking that far ahead and disrespectful to Gabby and Rachel.  Chris straight out said he’s not interested in this process of how they’re doing it.

Back to Rachel and Jordan: During the dinner conversation is where things really started going South for Rachel.  As Jordan, who’s a drag racer, spoke about his upbringing, it was clear that there was no connection there between the two.  It was feeling “forced” for Rachel who had to get-up and leave the table to go talk to producers. “He’s this incredible guy. I don’t want to be the one to send this incredible guy home,” she told a producer.  When Rachel returned, she told Jordan about the disconnect and sent him home.

This left the hired talent – Ashley Cooke and Brett Young to serenade Rachel without her date.

MAJOR REVELATION!!

More interesting was what Rachel said in her confessional,  which was that she doesn’t feel like she ever deserved to be the Bachelorette, and that she doesn’t want to be the Bachelorette.  She just wants to be Rachel.

Back at the mansion, the next date card arrived which read: “Nate, meet me at my place.  Love Gabby.  P.S., bring a bathing suit.”  Nate was genuinely happy and said he felt like he won the lottery.

GABBY & NATE DATE:

Gabby is Unsure if She’s Ready to Be a Mom!

Before the date started, Nate, who is 33-years-old, stated in his confessional that he couldn’t wait to tell Gabby that he’s a father.  When he picked Gabby up, they shared a kiss before the date officially started while they waited for a helicopter to arrive to whisk them away to downtown Los Angeles.  There, they had a hot tub waiting for them.  After that, the two ate dinner at Union Station.

Nate used this time to tell Gabby about his six-year-old daughter.  Gabby loved hearing about his bond with his daughter and thought of her dad who has had a huge presence in her life.  Gabby loved that Nate felt comfortable enough to tell her all those things.  Another big reveal of the night was when Gabby stated in her confessional that she wasn’t sure if she’s ready to be a mom yet.  Gabby said that’s something she doesn’t have to decide right now and gave him the date rose.

Gabby said she could sense Nate having such a big capacity for love.  She stated that she’s a little afraid of being a mother because she would be hurt from loving the child so much.

THE COCKTAIL PARTY:

Gabby and Rachel Kick Chris Out!

By the time the Cocktail Party rolled around, there were 28 men left.  Rachel had strong connections with Mario, Tyler and Zach.  Gabby got more alone time with Erich.  Then, things took a dramatic turn when Jordan H., Hayden, and Quincey decided to let Rachel and Gabby know about the surprising things Chris had said earlier about being in the Fantasy Suite.

The women confronted Chris to ask him about it.  Gabby straight-out asked Chris “do you think it’s appropriate to be talking about Fantasy Suites this early?”  Chris’ reaction was condescending as Rachel pointed-out.  Gabby told him it was “time to go.” Rachel agreed.  They walked him out.  Then he came back to round-up the group of guys that called him out.  Rachel and Gabby returned to kick him out again.

THE ROSE CEREMONY:

After that, it was time for the first Rose Ceremony.  Some of the men were upset about the drama taking-up a lot of time from them and not getting to talk to Gabby and Rachel.   Jesse said the Roses will be from BOTH women.  That means they both want them there.

Roses went to:  Jason, Aven, Erich, Zach, Jordan, Quincey, Michael, Tino, Jacob, Tyler, Termayne, Hayden, “Meatball (James), Kirk, Spencer, Alec, Ethan, Mario.

Men who already had roses:  Tino, Nate, Logan, Johnny,

NEXT WEEK’S Preview:  Gabby has a bowling date with the return of John, her grandpa.  But, what’s more important is when during the Rose Ceremony, the men seem to be choosing which girl he wants to be there for.  This leads to Gabby and Rachel calling a time-out to go talk in private.
