The third season of GSN’s “The Newlywed Game” revival of the classic show is winding-down filming. Yesterday’s taping included a very special episode that included some game show legends!

GSN brought back original host Bob Eubanks to host this vintage episode with classic game show hosts as contestants who played for charity. Current host of “The Newlywed Game”, Carnie Wilson, introduced Eubanks then handed the show over to him before returning back-stage.

Eubanks took to the show as if he had never left. While watching him host, I remembered what I missed so much of his hosting style from the original shows. His wittiness, humor and being the ultimate instigator to couples on-stage.

Monty Hall is a busy man these days with his guest appearances on the new “Let’s Make a Deal”, and with wife on “The Newlywed Game”.

Special celebrity guest couples were: Wink Martindale (Tic-Tac-Dough) with his wife Sandy, Monty Hall (Let’s Make a Deal) and wife Marylin, and Peter Marshall (Hollywood Squares) with wife Laurie.

The funniest answers came from the contestants’ responses to the question: “Describe the strangest situation you (husbands) were caught-in while naked”.

No air-date announced yet. “The Newlywed Game” third season returns to GSN this Spring.
