The final episode of “The Bachelor” season 29 resumed back at the Punta Cana Resort in the Dominican Republic.  The last two women remaining in Grant’s journey for love, Litia and Juliana met Grant’s family.  Grant said he pictured Litia being his wife, and “she’s ready.”  Litia was up first.  How it all ended, was a different story.

LITIA MEETS GRANT’S FAMILY:

Grant’s beautiful sister was there with his mom and dad.  Mom grabbed Litia first to ask her what made her love Grant?  She answered that it was when she saw Grant with her family and wanting to take care of everyone around him.  Mom told Litia to know that Grant loves her because they already recprioctatet that to each other.  She asked Litia if she will 100% accept Grant’s proposal if there’s a proposal. Litia confirmed that she will.

Litia sat with Grant’s dad next.  He said it’s “a lot to deal with.”  And with him and his wife being divorced, he doesn’t want the same for Grant.  Dad said Litia is a “very nice girl” and has values.  Only problem?  Grant expressed how he’s hesitant with Litia due to their timelines not matching up. Litia wants kids in two years, whereas Grant wants to wait a bit longer before kids.  His dad told him to not let one little issue “stop the show,” and if he really loves her, they’ll work around it. 

After meeting the family, Grant said it reaffirms his feelings for Litia and he can see her with his family. Then Litia revealed that when she told him that she loves him, she’s never told anyone that before. 

JULIANA MEETS GRANT’S FAMILY:

During Juliana’s walk-up to Grant, he looked really enamored with her.  Juliana was afraid because her and Grant haven’t said “I love you” and is hoping she can get there with him. She was also hoping that her mind would be “eased” after meeting his family. 

Juliana sat down for a talk with Grant’s mom.  His mom told her that he sees a happy young man who’s found his way when she sees him with Juliana.  She asked her if she’s ready to be engaged.  Juliana wasn’t sure because she hasn’t said the “L” work yet, and vice versa.  She said he’s someone that she can see herself being in love with. 

Juliana’s reservation is caused by the fact that there’s another woman still here and doesn’t want to tell Grant she loves him in case it’s not her.  Mom told Grant that if she doesn’t tell him that she loves him she’s asking him to “walk away from that.”  Juliana talked to Grant’s dad next.

The Tear’s Are Flowing:

Juliana asked Grant’s dad about his “bad days.” He said when that happened in the past, Grant would tell his Dad that he needed space, and he would give him his space.  It was after Juliana left the room when Grant sat down with his Dad and had a heart-to-heart.
Grant and his dad experienced a break-through that was a real tear-jerker.  Grant’s dad told him that he loves the man that he has become.  Grant was crying through his Dad’s words when he told him he deserves to be happy and the woman that finds him is the luckiest woman in the world.

Live in the Studio: Charity Lawson, Clayton Echard and Gerry Turner were there to give advice. There are zero issues with Charity giving advice. But, Gerry and Clayton? Really?  They talked about being in love with multiple people on the show.  Gerry said when you commit yourself to finding one person and unless you’re in that position, you’ll never know what that’s like. 

GRANT & JULIANA’S DATE:

Juliana was panicking the next day after she and Grant said they love each other.  Juliana is more guarded because her trust has been betrayed before.  Grant wanted to know if he proposed will she accept. So, he paid Juliana a visit that evening to ask her.  Grant flat out asked if she’s ready, or will she break his heart?  Juliana said she’ll do her best to handle his heart with care.  Her answer was that she’s ready and them telling each other that was all that she needed.  She would be “devastated” if Grant doesn’t choose her.

GRANT & LITIA’S DATE:

Grant and Litia’s date was on the beach.  Litia said in her confessional interview that this is probably the last date until Grant “puts a ring on it.”  Grant said in his confessional that he loves Litia and that the feelings are that they can “weather the storm.”  Grant let Litia know about his concern about their timelines in starting a family not matching up. 

Litia told Grant that he’s the first one she said the “love” word to because she feels safe with him.  Grant actually looked worried while Litia was expressing her feelings to him.  Grant said sometimes it’s hard to know what you want until you see it in front of you.  Litia told Grant to pick her!

No Woman Wants This! 

The next morning was engagement day and Grant had no idea which woman he wanted to propose to.  Grant felt pressed for time and said he had to “make a decision fast.”  Wow!  What no woman wants to hear.  Grant was surprised with a knock on the door.  It was his Dad who stayed behind to help Grant prepare for the big day.
Grant’s Dad advised him to go with his heart.  “Somebody’s going to be hurt. But life goes on,” his dad told him. He told Grant that he deserves to be happy and that’s all that matters.  “The future is bright son.” 

In the moment of picking out the ring, Grant didn’t seem all that thrilled.  The first ring looked like it was for Juliana, the second ring looked like Litia.  Which one of the two he chose, wasn’t shown to the viewers opposite from in previous seasons.  The ring typically gives it away of who is chosen!
Then it was the moment of truth. The Final Rose ceremony was upon us all. As Litia was the first one to walk up, the wardrobe department gave her an incredibly form fitting dress without a slit that she had to walk slowly up to Grant in…through the wind and rain.  She told Grant how she started falling in love with him in week two, then in Scotland, she knew that she was in love with him.

Grant just had this look of sadness on his face while Litia was being really vulnerable with him. Then, the break-up began. He told her that she’s one of the most amazing and beautiful women he’s ever met and “this is hard for me.” He told her that his emotional connection is “stronger somewhere else.” 

Litia said she got her answers and she’s disappointed. “You’re different than I thought,” Litia told Grant.  Litia said that if she was Juliana, she would have a lot of questions for Grant based on the things that he has said to her.  Wow!!  Litia told Grant that “the switch up is crazy.”  Litia left him with these words “I’m confused, and I’m sad. And I’m mad.” 

Back in the live studio:  Litia was seated next to Jesse Palmer and she said it doesn’t make more sense to her now than it did that day. “I got the rug pulled out from under me.  She said Grant always said it was going to be them two.

Some shocking news from Litia was when she said Grant told her and her mom that he knew it was Litia and he could stop the whole show right then and there.

Litia had major questions for Grant.  He reassured her that it was going to be her in the end and that she was his number one connection.  Litia listed off all of the receipts and wanted answers from him now.  Grant told her that he is truly sorry and had to make the decision that was best for him.  Did he regret telling Litia that he loved her, Jesse asked.  His answer is “no” because he did love her. 

Litia pointed-out that there “was no transparency” that he was conflicted. Litia said she’s glad that this experience isn’t part of HER love story and she’s excited to find the man that will choose her every day.

THE PROPOSAL

Grant said he sees a “forever love” with him and Juliana.  In her confessional, Juliana said she’s so in love with Grant.  And with him, she doesn’t feel alone anymore.  She wants to hear that he’s going to choose her and continue to choose her over and over.  He told her that through the whole journey, she’s been someone who inspires him, and she’s somebody who’s his best friend.  Grant told her if there’s any troubling times, “I’ll be there for you as your man, as your friend, as your partner.”

AFTER THE FINAL ROSE:

Back at the live studio, Grant was sitting next to host Jess Palmer alone.  Grant said that day was one of the happiest days in his life. He said there’s no right way to do it. Those final days Grant said were “extremely hard” and he “put it all out there.”  Ultimately, even though being on the show was an “expedited” process, Grant said it was all worth it to find his life partner.  Juliana came out to join him.
Grant said it was her outlook on life and her character that made him fall in love with her and she’s a “solid foundation.”  Grant was questioned about his demeanor on the “Women Tell All” episode.  Juliana said they have to have fun with it, and they both had poker faces.

Grant expressed how having his Dad there supporting him meant so much for him to come back and give advice to him. Now, what’s next for the couple?  They’re moving to Boston.  But, first, the show is sending them to Italy. 

Zoe’s Back For A Reason!

Zoe was invited back next.  She said by being on “The Bachelor” she reminded herself that she’s a strong woman.  Jesse announced that “Bachelor in Paradise” is back this summer.  And, Zoe deserves another chance at love and was officially asked to be on “Bachelor in Paradise.”  She said “yes.”  

Didn’t See This Twist Coming!

Jesse said there will be a “twist” on “Bachelor in Paradise.”  It’s the first ever Golden Bachelor in Paradise cast members would be joining in!  Leslie and Big G. from “The Golden Bachelor” and the “Golden Bachelorette” came out on stage for the announcement that they will be joining the younger cast of the show this season. 

It’s the first time ever that Golden men and women will be on the beach at the same time as the rest of the cast.
