THE TALK: Star Moms Keep It Real for Viewers!

“America’s Got Talent” judge, Sharon Osbourne is one of six women and mothers giving their advice and talking candidly about their children, society issues, how to cope with it all on a new CBS daytime talk show called “The Talk”. With Sharon Osbourne, co-hosts of “The Talk” include: Julie Chen (“Big Brother”), Sara Gilbert (“Roseanne”), Holly Robinson-Peete (“Celebrity Apprentice”), Leah Remini (“King of Queens”), and Marissa Jaret Winokur (“Hairspray”).

“The Talk” was conceived by the show’s co-host Sara Gilbert who, she stated in a “TV Squad” article, got the idea while going to support groups for new moms.

“The Talk” replaces long-running soap opera “As The World Turns”. Other contender competing for the spot was game show “The Pyramid”. “The Talk” will give viewers a refreshing down-to-earth daily chat among women hosts who are relateable to the women audiences at home as they talk about topics that may be concerning or real-life issues viewers themselves are dealing with.

Currently shooting one show per day this week with celebrity guests at CBS Radford Studios in Studio City, the panel of women open each show while seated in individual chairs around a table, although Winokur was not present during our show taping. Their discussion topics vary from teenage pregnancy to new recipes from celebrity chefs, one of which is female Iron Chef winner – Cat Cora.

Christie Brinkley will be guest on THE TALK.

Other guest viewers can expect to see during the first week on the air incude: Molly Ringwald, Jennifer Lopez, and Christie Brinkley who will give her first interview in years. Brinkley will be on “The Talk” to discuss her daughter’s suicide attempt, her divorce, and how she stays looking young in her fifties.

So far, the most outspoken women on the panel appear to be Leah Remini, and Julie Chen. Some of the audience viewers have already noticed a bit of tension and competition between co-hosts Sharon Osbourne and Leah Remini. How this will play-off on-air will be the test once the show debuts “Live” Monday, October 18th on CBS.
