In this week’s episode of “Deal or No Deal Island,” we are made aware of Maria Grace and Storm’s “showmance” on the island.  It’s all for a good reason that viewers see at the very end.  During a private conversation between the two, Maria Grace expressed paranoia of their fondness for each other being a reason for the other players to “split” them up. In other words, kicking one of them off of the island.

The next morning, the conversation between Dickson and David consisted of Dickson trying to figure out where he stood in the pact.  He felt like the underdog and wanted to find out if he was being targeted.  David replied that Dickson has nothing to worry about since day one.

In his daily life before being on the show, Dickson expressed being treated like an underdog, not earning any respect from his father who told him he’s not “special enough” to be on TV.  “Well, I proved you wrong Dad.” Dickson stated.

Dr. Will observed the “showmance brewing” between Maria Grace and Storm.  From past experience, Dr. Will said he’s “terrified” of a showmance because it means these two people are locked in a tight alliance which is “super hard to break.”

THE FAMILY:

Aside from the “showmance” being revealed this week, a strong alliance has also been forming, “the family.”  The family started when Parvati and David jokingly claimed Dickson as their “son” after hearing his sad story about his parents giving him up to an older couple who raised him.  Then, more recently, Maria Grace has been claimed as Parvati and David’s pretend “daughter” on the island.

Many of the players have caught wind of this.  Seychell in particular is happy about it because if other players can see the family as a bigger threat, they aren’t paying attention to her.  “I love that for me” she stated.

THE EXCURSION:

The players had to create their own personal rankings, showing off who they thought was the most popular “biggest threat” and the least threat.  The Excursion this week was axe throwing.  The players had to throw axes at the target photo of the player that they thought was the most threatening, or the least threatening.

The contestant who hit the most voted for biggest threat, and lowest threat won immunity. If more than one player went for the same target, the one closest to the bullseye, gets immunity.  Dr. Will, feeling the pressure coming down on him, really needed immunity and went for his own target.  Parvati also went for her own target.

After Philip went for the least threatening player, Seychell, told him she was sorry, and went for herself. She was “sorry” for him because she hit a bullseye target!  Making her safe.  Each player’s accurate throw was paired up with a case reflecting the value based on threatening or nonthreatening contestants.

When all the cases were opened, it was revealed that Dr. Will was the biggest perceived threat with the $5 million case.  He hit his own target, thus winning immunity and he got to choose which player would face the Banker.   Only four players were safe.  The two at the top, and the two at the low end of being least threatening.  The contestants up for elimination this week are:  Lete, La Shell, Philip, CK, Philip, David, Dickson, and Storm.

Back at the camp, Dr. Will was wrecking his brain over who to put up against the Banker.  His objective was to put someone up who could take out his personal target, CK.  The best option, he thought, was Dickson.  But, he didn’t reveal who he was going to pick until Temple.

DEAL OR NO DEAL:

Dr. Will elected to have Dickson play against the Banker.  Dr. Will said he is “unsure” if Dickson will stick to the agreement to eliminate CK, and that this will be the week to see who’s “loyal.”  Dickson was excited to be playing “Deal or No Deal” because he grew up watching the show and knew who some of the original case models were.

Unfortunately, Dickson’s first pick was the $1,500,000 case. Fortunately, he opened a lot of low value cases after that.  As a result, the Banker’s first offer was $421,000.  Dickson chose “No Deal.”  In the second round, the Banker offered $,450,000.  Joe enticed Dickson to turn down the offer, which Dickson did!

Dickson’s last case to open was between $1 and $2.5 million, and $5 million.  By a stroke of luck Dickson opened the $1 case!  Thus, he got the Banker’s highest offer this season, $3,200,000!  Storm advised Dickson to open his case.  Dickson opened his case and had the $5 million case!  Thus, making a Good Deal!

THE ELIMINATION:

The final case is now at $5,531,001.  Dickson said he had to take out the player who was the biggest threat to his game.  Since Dr. Will was safe, Dickson chose to eliminate Storm.  After that, Dr. Will was peeved and vowed to go after “the family” next, which Dickson is a part of.

NEXT WEEK:  Seychell and Dr. Will plan to take out “the family” which consists of David, Pavarti, Maria Grace, and Dickson. “Deal or No Deal Island” airs on Tuesdays at 9 pm PT on NBC.  It streams on Peacock the next day.
