In last week’s episode of “Destination X,” the showmance was finally called-off by the other contestants after Rick and Peter sent Ally home during the last challenge involving daggers.  Shayne’s girlfriend, not only got the exit she also became his ex not long after leaving the show.

Soon after winning that challenge, Rick and Peter were presented with a sneak-peek clue to this week’s Destination X.  That was a picture of an Anchor in water on a playing card.  It was a hint to Monte Carlo which neither picked-up on until much later! 

The final four are Peter, Rick, Shayne, and Biggy.  This week’s “Destination X” opened with the four taking off their goggles to a landscape that appeared to be in Arizona or Utah.  This had the guys briefly believe that they may be back in the states.  

However, after Jeffery dropped a verbal clue, “the battle of the good, the bad, the ugly, and Rick.”  Jeffery noted that the land was typically used for “spaghetti Westerns.”  

It’s Giving Monte Carlo!

Jeffery instructed the four men that they would be collecting their own clues after traveling in pairs via horseback riding.  Biggy and Shayne were a team.  Rick and Peter were partnered-up for receiving their clues.  Peter and Rick observed that the typography looked a lot like Monaco.  

Rick got a Marilyn Monroe clue that was given with three red ring boxes and the initials “M.M” on the outside. This clue was supposed to be giving “diamonds” which no one got.  Peter couldn’t decode his clue which was four shovels in sand. It was spades. 

Shayne’s clue was a crate full of artichokes (Ahmm…Hearts) while Biggy opened a crate full of golf balls.  This was a clue to “Clubs.”  Biggy and Shayne thought they’d get an advantage by sharing their clues.  But, it didn’t really help.  They were confident that Rick and Peter most likely wouldn’t be sharing their clues.

They were wrong.  Rick and Peter also shared their clues. Rick was siding with the possibility the clues would match up to Monaco.  But, Peter was thinking it was Cannes instead.  

While Rick and Biggy were conversing privately, Biggy wanted to share his clue with Rick in order to get Rick’s clue to help him figure out where their location is.  Biggy was honest with Rick by telling him about the crate of golf balls he opened.

However, Rick misled Biggy by telling him his crate was pine cones painted white.  Of course, that made no sense to Biggy and he was more perplexed after being strung along by Rick.  

EARLY MAP ROOM!

Jeffery arrived at the bus early to have the players place their “Xs.” It was a first for the players to NOT have a second challenge before guessing their location in the Map Room.  After the exit from this Map Room would leave the final three going to the finale. OR…maybe not!

Peter deduced that they were in the South of France.  Rick figured the same.  Biggy knew they were on the coast.  But, Shayne guessed somewhere in the mountains.  He was the farthest away.  After the map room, Jeffery announced that the players would have a chance to “change their fates.”

SWITCHEROO:

It turns out that Monaco was the destination all those clues led to.  The four players visually saw this after arriving at the next challenge location.  Though after playing a few games on the roulette table, they still had to have host Jeffery Dean Morgan tell them exactly where they were at.  The players had to call “red” or “black” to determine if they could move an opponent’s “X” from the Map Room, or their own.

SPOILER!
Shayne and Biggy avoided a near tie, and after moving his “X” 50 milescloser, Biggy beat out Shayne who was the farthest away and sent home.
