April 4, 2010TRUST ME, I’M A GAME SHOW HOST: You Don’t Have to Be a Genius!
April 9, 2010A new, syndicated version of the karaoke-style game show that was hosted for two seasons by comedian, Wayne Brady (current host of “Let’s Make a Deal”) is making a come-back with new host, Mark McGrath (“Sugar Ray”) and looking for contestants.
“Don’t Forget the Lyrics” viewers may remember McGrath, former host on “Extra”, actually appearing on the show last year as one of Gary Dell’Abate’s (Howard Stern radio producer) “backup” singers. For those that are curious how McGrath will look on the “Don’t Forget the Lyrics” stage, you can watch video from that episode here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZH5-yqCGlg&feature=related
A couple of other changes for the syndicated singing competition show include a new maximum award of $100,000 contestants will be competing for, and a new band. Previous band leader was Ricky Minor, who is also the band leader on “American Idol”. No word yet on the new band that will replace his.
If you can easily “lock in those lyrics”, and want to be on the show, Los Angeles auditions will be held tomorrow, April 10th in downtown L.A. at the ESPN Zone at L.A. LIVE from 12pm-4pm. Located at 1011 S. Figueroa Street, Suite B101, 90015
