Last week’s “Deal or No Deal Island” episode ended when Miranda made a bad deal and was out of the game, but not before she exposed Aron’s plan to get Stephanie eliminated!

In this week’s episode six, a small group of players (Rob, Aron and Alyssa) are still hell bent on getting rid of Stephanie for what she pulled in the third episode. MORE ON THAT HERE! After finding out Aron’s plan, Stephanie was floored because she thought he was someone whom she could trust the most and thought of him as an ally.

Aron went from “most trusted” to second to least trusted followed by Boston Rob!

The island has two groups of contestants.  There’s Rob’s group who are: Alyssa, Aron, and Rob.  And then there’s the “Night Owls” who are made up of: Stephanie, Dawson, Nick, and Amy.  Apparently, Jordan is neutral!

When Stephanie questioned Aron why he wanted to get her out, Aron pinned it on following the orders of what Rob and Alyssa wanted.  It actually wasn’t true.  Rob saw this as a con for himself because no one thinks that Aron could have come up with that plan all by himself.  This had everyone looking at Rob.

Stephanie was perplexed as to why Aron is so fooled by Alyssa.  Aron answered that he needs to take friends wherever he can get them, and that maybe a “backstabber and a snake” (such as Alyssa) is good to have as an ally in this game.
Stephanie is laser focused on getting Alyssa out of the game.

THE EXCURSION:

It was an “explosive” bonfire of sorts where the group had to work in teams of two.  The goal was to take lit torches to blast the cases hung over the water at varying heights.  The higher the cases, the higher the monetary values.  The highest value case in this Excursion was $3.5 million.

In order to gain more height on their torches, the players had to retrieve attachments, or “extenders,” which were placed inside boxes with snakes.  That meant that they had to endure being hissed at and bitten at by snakes while retrieving the extenders.

The team with the highest combined value won the Excursion and got immunity.  The team with the lowest combined value would be in the bottom two and one would have to face The Banker.

The teams were random and based on matching colors that they randomly selected for arm bands.  Dawson and Jordan got paired; Alyssa and Nick were another team.  Rob was paired with Stephanie; Aron and Amy were another team.  By chance, the Night Owls were all separated.

The Banker threw in a game-changing “Bonus” that could be reached with the shortest torch. Amy and Aron, being the shortest players, strategize to get the Banker’s bonus first, then continue on with getting more extenders.

Not the best game plan because although they did get the bonus, they ended up in last place.  One of them had to go against The Banker.

Rob and Stephanie won the Excursion and had the power of choosing if Aron or Amy played “Deal or No Deal” game against the Banker.  While Rob did not want that to be Aron, he couldn’t express that in front of Stephanie and Amy because, as he said, everyone would know what he was up to.

So, Rob, being the manipulator that he is, somehow got Amy to voluntarily want to go up to play against the Banker.
Alyssa was wary of Amy going up against the Banker because she knew that Amy was planning to get her out.  Alyssa tried to gain Amy’s trust by letting her know that the only person she was after was Stephanie.  Amy wasn’t about to hear it from Alyssa and ignored her.

DEAL OR NO DEAL GAME:

The players arrived at the temple to participate in another game of Deal or No Deal. The Bonus case had yet to be opened to reveal its contents.  Amy had a rough go at her game, opening all of the highest case values.  Before she opened her own case to find out if she made a Good Deal or a bad one, Aron was instructed to finally open the Bankers bonus case.

What was inside ended up being more of a hindrance than a “bonus.”  It was a “no elimination” order.  After that, Amy opened her final case which held the amount of $850,000, a value higher than the Banker’s offer.

Amy made a Good Deal, and that bonus ended-up robbing her from sending either Alysaa or Aron home!  Amy called it correctly, “Banker’s bull—!

“Deal or No Deal Island” airs on Mondays at 10 pm PT on NBC.
