Jennifer vs Blake on THE VOICE Season 13 Blind Auditions Sneak-Peek

There’s a new coach in town and her name is Jennifer Hudson. Season 13 of “The Voice” welcomes successful American Idol alumna and mega-star Jennifer Hudson to the coaches panel along with returning coaches Miley Cyrus, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton.

Hudson gave Blake Shelton a run for his money when more than a few auditioners had both of them competiting for the same artists. During an early set visit to this season’s “The Voice” Blind Auditions, Hudson won out over Blake a few times. This made him super irritated and even more competitive.

We can’t wait to see the rest of the season to see how it plays out. Read on for more of our exclusive sneak-peek of “The Voice” season 13 Blind Auditions below. (The Voice photos courtesy: NBC/Trae Patton)

Adam Cunningham is 38-years-old. He sang a Steely Dan song and had a Country vibe to him. Jennifer and Blake turned for him Jennifer tried to sway him by using her “soul” background. He went with Blake. Jennifer and Blake both turned again and fought it out over Katherina.

A past contestant, Casey, made another go at “The Voice” blind audition. However, no chairs turned for her. She reacted by crying. Adam went on stage to console her. Jennifer advised Casey that as long as she has her intrument (her voice) she can keep coming back. Hudson also told her that an audition with constructive criticism is better than one without and not knowing what to improve upon.

A young father auditioned with his guitar. He’s already somewhat well known for his viral YouTube video that he made with his four-year-old daughter singing “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” by Andy Newman. Adam was moved by the video because, he said, someone sent him that video nine months ago when his daughter was born. The contestant’s daughter Claire came out onto the stage to sing a bit with her dad.

Catrina is a rocker girl that Miley turned for. It seemed that none of the other coaches knew what to do with her voice. Miley said she’d help her “pull back” and be more settle.

One young male contestant, who came out with an Adam Levine vibe with his fashion sense, also sounded like Levine and sang “Sugar” by Maroon 5. Only Adam turned.

Curtis, who quickly got the nick-name of “Fraser”, is 26-years-old, but looked older. It was his choice of clothing along with eye-glasses that earned him the nick-name of “Fraser” from Blake. He wowed the coaches by sounding like two different people in his audition. Only Jennifer turned.

A contestant came out and sang “Achey Breaky Heart” by Billy Ray Cyrus, father of Miley Cyrus. She had a Country vibe and everyone thought Blake would turn. Unforturnately, no chairs turned. Blake said it was the Country “nasely” thing that’s so common in Country which is why he didn’t push his button.

“The Voice” season 13 premieres Monday, September 25 at 8/7 c pm on NBC.
