Eleven more acts competed fiercely for two more spots in the “America’s Got Talent” season 17 Finals.  The acts included: deaf comedian, Hayden Kristal, who didn’t get buzzed by Simon Cowell; French magician Nicolas RIBS who is sleight of hand like another AGT magician and finalist Yu Hojin; one of two ventriloquists this season Celia Munoz; two-man dance crew Funkenometry; one woman band Mia Morris; the Cline Twins who juggle hockey pucks; JoJo Siwa’s girl group called XOMG Pop; light show MPLUSPLUS; singers JoJo and Bri; Amanda Mammana; and Sara James who is Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer.

Host Terry Crews reminded viewers that in a couple of weeks, the judges will each put forward a Wild Card act and viewers will vote to put one of those four acts into the Finals

Howie said about his brutal comments on Tuesday’s performance show that “the competition is brutal.”  He said the judges are all paid to be honest.  Sofia called Mandel “grumpy.”  Howie responded “I’m NOT grumpy.”  Sofia said they have different tastes.  She said Howie is grumpy sometimes and Simon is sometimes “loco.”  Crews asked Simon if it’s different when he has a Golden Buzzer up there.  Simon said of course.  “When you hit the Buzzer for someone, you have that belief..whatever you want to call it.” He said he was as nervous as Sara James was on Tuesday night.  Heidi said the pressure is getting to the acts.  She can’t wait to see who was voted through.

THE FIRST RESULTS:

The first result was revealed.  Hayden Kristal and the Cline Twins were called forward.  The first act who made it to the Top 5 was Hayden Kristal.  Then Ceila Munoz and Mia Morris were both called to step forward. The act revealed as moving-on was ventriloquist Ceila Munoz.

Next, XOMG POP, Funkenometry, and Amanda Mammana were called up.   It was Amanda Mammana going onto the Top 5.  Crews asked Howie’s thoughts on how he thought the voting was going so far.  Howie reacted,  “America could not get it wrong.  They’ve all been right.”  But, he said he was “somewhat surprised.  I thought it would go differently.”

In a fun video, Judges Simon and Howie took a trip to Las Vegas to visit the AGT show at the Luxor.  They pranked visitors of the show who were visiting sights inside of the lobby.  In the hilarious practical joke, Mandel disguised himself as a worker, while Simon gave him orders through an earpiece telling him to do things that offended the guests.  This included making them stand in the corner, and telling a few others to prove that they are V.I.Ps!

MORE RESULTS:

Nicolas RIBS and Mplusplus were the next two acts going head-to-head.  It was magician Nicolas RIBS who moved-onto the Top 5.  Singers Sara James, and JoJo & Bri were called forward.  It was Sara James who moved forward.  The Top 5 were:  Hayden Kristal, Celia Munoz, Nicolas RIBS, Amanda Mammana, and Sara James.

Sofia reacted that she was “so happy and so excited.”  She said everyone has been so good, and she agreed with America’s votes.

AGT season 14 winner singer and piano player Kodi Lee returned to the stage on the results show.  Kodi’s mom said she was concerned about if Kodi would be able to handle his new job in the Las Vegas AGT show performing twice per night, five days a week.  Kodi said he loves his job.   He also said he feels like he’s in his “happy place” when he comes back to AGT to perform.

Simon said he thought Kodi defines “America’s Got Talent” and he remembered everything about Kodi’s audition. “It’s one of those moments that I’ll never forget.”

Singer Teddy Swims, original Journey guitarist Neal Schon, and Kodi Lee performed “Don’t Stop Believin” by Journey.

THE TOP 2 REVEALED:

Only two of the Top 5 acts were going through to the Finals.  But, first the Top 3 acts had to be announced.  The first two acts in the Top 3 were Nicolas RIBS and Celia Munoz.  The third act was Sara James!  That meant Hayden Kristal, and Amanda Mammana went home.

Heidi reacted that they were all amazing and she thinks they all deserve to go to the Finals.  The first act going into the Finals was Simon’s Golden Buzzer, 14-year-old singer Sara James. Sara reacted “thank you so much for every vote.  I’m speechless.   I’m just a teenage girl…it means a lot to me.”  Simon congratulated her.  “You’re going to make this Final a very special Finals.  He thanked the audience and said AGT has the best audience.

Next, it was Nicolas RIBS vs. Celia Munoz for that second and last spot in the Finals.  That act was Nicolas RIBS.  Sofia was shocked and gave a look to Heidi.  Howie reacted “we see a lot of magic on this show.”  He thinks that when a magician presents something in a way that people haven’t seen before is a recipe for success.  Howie said again that he thinks Nicolas can win it.  It also meant that now there are two magicians in the AGT finals whose acts are similar in that they are sleight of hand.   Which one will come out on top?  That is yet to be seen!
